Daytona Beach Vacation: Daytona Lagoon Waterpark
Don’t miss a trip to Daytona Lagoon waterpark on your next Daytona Beach vacation. Everyone knows that Daytona Beach, Florida has the most famous beach in the world right? Did you also know it has an incredible family fun center and water park called Daytona Lagoon?
On your next trip to the Daytona Beach area don’t miss the chance to spend a day, or two, at this fun filled park right in the center of Daytona Beach at the Oceanwalk Center. The Daytona Lagoon waterpark has something for everyone in the family. For starters, check out the Grand Prix Go-Kart Raceway. Only in the birthplace of speed would you find a go-kart track like this one full of hairpin turns and narrow straightaways. For the daredevil among you there is the Phoenix. 4G’s of force hurtles you skyward and drops you back again . The athletes in your party might want to try the 3000 square foot arena known as Laser Runner Laser Tag or the 25 foot Rock Climbing Wall. Don’t worry if none of these activities appeal to your more delicate, tranquil side.
The Daytona Lagoon waterpark also has three 9 hole miniature golf courses that wind through the Go-Kart track and water park so you can enjoy yourself while watching the action. For the nostalgia buff among you, the park offers a chance to be a part of history on the park’s 1972 Theel Carousel. Ramara Garrett of Waverly Property Management says you could easily spend an entire day just exploring the “dry park” sections of the Daytona Lagoon. Just think, we haven’t even gotten to the best part yet!
The Daytona Lagoon water park boasts Blackbeard’s Revenge - a 62 foot tower you must climb in order to enter a tunnel that plunges you into darkness! Panama Jacks’ and Adventure Mountain offer three other slide adventures. The newest slide ride is Kraken’s Conquest where you can actually race on one of the four lanes of the 55 foot tower. Feeling lazy? Drift along the cool water around Castaway Bay in your tube at Pelican’s Drift. Just want to play in the water? No problem. The wave Pool has 500,000 gallons of water to play in. Best of all, for the younger members of your group there is Castaway Bay. Castaway Bay is a large themed play structure geared just for the little ones.
