Withstanding the constant criticism of cantankerous Chef Gordon Ramsey, the ultimate judge, pushed some chefs over the edge. Veltri’s cool-under-fire demeanor and creativity in the kitchen made him the winner of the $250,000 prize and a position as head chef at a new upscale restaurant at the Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City. Yes, Veltri, is thrilled to have won. His only complaints are having to leave behind friends and family, and the wonderful weather of coastal central Florida.
Daytona Beach and surrounding areas have lots of franchise and chain eateries. You can get a good meal at a reasonable price and not have many complaints.
